6th October 2017 – 30th Tropical Gaze Art Exhibition at the Tanks Art Centre, Cairns.  This will be my third year exhibiting in this exhibition, below are a couple of my entries.  Free entry 7 days a week.

August 2017 – Great Barrier Reef Super Yacht Group Disco Dock Party. I was invited to display some of my latest works as part of this fantastic event on the Cairns Marlin Marina. 

July 2017 – Cairns Show Art Exhibition.  This year I was awarded a Highly Commended for my painting ‘Blue Vase’ which I was absolutely thrilled about.

March 2017 – My artwork is now on display at the OASIS Magazine office upstairs at the Pier, Cairns

April 2017 – Tonight is the launch of ARTISTS OF THE NORTH Art Exhibition at the Tanks Art Centre which I am part of.  The exhibition will run from Fri 7th April to Sun 23rd April, free entry.

20th NOVEMBER 2016 – 8 Local Artists including myself displayed their artwork at The Conservatory Bar in Cairns, a great crowd came along and enjoyed an afternoon of art and wine. Big thanks goes to Jan and Kerry who generously provided a fantastic venue once again and also to all my wonderful supporters – you are WONDERFUL!!

18th SEPTEMBER 2016 – An Afternoon of Art and wine at The Conservatory Bar.  A group of local Cairns artists, including myself displayed artwork in the Conservatory Bar courtyard with wonderful live music and wine.  It was a fantastic afternoon with a large crowd mingling among the artwork and chatting with the artists. Thank you to all who came and supported the event.

AUGUST 2016 SUPER YACHT GROUP GREAT BARRIER REEF ‘DOCK PARTY’ – I was thrilled to be asked to provide the artwork for the Super Yacht Group Great Barrier Reef ‘Dock Party’ invitation. The Marlin Marina came alive with a tropical themed party surrounded by five super yachts, I displayed four colourful paintings along the marina as people mingled listening to live music and drinking cocktails.

I won 2nd Place in the 2016 CAIRNS SHOW VISUAL ART EXHIBITION Acrylic section with my entry ‘Pacific Islands’.  It’s my 24th year entering this competition and one of my favourite exhibitions to be a part of, run by wonderful volunteers who generously give their time each year.  I encourage anyone wanting to display their work, be it paintings or ceramics, to enter in 2017.

January 2016 – Solo exhibition of my latest paintings at the Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns. The opening night was on 5th December 2015 and was a great success, I am truly grateful to everyone who made it on the night and during the following weeks.  Overall I sold 28 pieces, mostly to locals in the Cairns area and a few interstate. A huge thank you to the Reef Hotel Casino for allowing me to display my paintings and support local artists.

December 2015 – Donation to Ribbons Ladies Game Fishing Tournament

10th October 2015  – I was thrilled to be part of the Gaze Art Exhibition at the Tanks Art Centre in Edge Hill, Cairns. The opening night was a great success with a fantastic display of various works by local artists.

July 2015 – Cairns Show Art Exhibition Every year I participate in the Cairns Show Art Exhibition which showcases a broad and diverse collection of artworks.  I was very excited and happy to receive a 2nd Place and also a Highly Commended for two of my entries.

20th June 2015 – Donation to IGA Leukaemia Foundation Race Day at Cannon Park race course, Cairns.  Each year I donate paintings to this wonderful and important foundation to help them raise awareness and much needed funds.  The Leukaemia Foundation raised over $76,000 on the day!


10th May, 2015 – Artwork Donation to the Friends of the Himalayan Children.  FHC is working to address the current education crisis caused by the Nepal earthquake, and its aftermath. Part of this process is to provide students with the tools to become educated, which will result in empowered young people.  Donations can be made at

11th November 2014 – ‘Remembrance Day Poppy Competition’

I entered my ‘Poppy’ painting into the  for Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service (VVCS).   VVCS provides free and confidential, nation-wide counselling and support for war and service-related mental health conditions, such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance and anger.   VVCS also provides relationship and family counselling to address issues that can arise due to the unique nature of the military lifestyle. VVCS counsellors have an understanding of military culture and can work with clients to find effective solutions for improved mental health and wellbeing.

1st October 2015 – Donation to Worklink’s Stressless Luncheon Cairns Convention Centre. Ben Cryan, a Cairns born man, who survived a devastating surfing accident and was told by doctors he may never walk again.  Ben came to Cairns to tell his incredible story that inspired and motivated us all. February 2014 – New fabric design raising awareness for BUY A BALE

With the devastating drought hitting our Australian outback, I created a painting and named it ‘Bull’, representing the cattle living in the harsh conditions of the outback.  Buy a Bale is an organisation raising money for Australian and predominantly Qld farmers who are doing it tough in the cattle industry and desperately need our help.  Donations are hugely welcomed anytime.  Ph: 1300 448 322

I was very happy to donate one of my paintings to a very worthy cause raising money for brain cancer research.  The masquerade ball was a really fun night with lots of glitz and glamour with fantastic prizes donated for auctions and raffles which raised lots of much needed funds.

5th December 2013 – ART EXHIBITION OPENING Bazaar Furniture, Cairns

I was very excited to announce my solo art exhibition at Bazaar Furniture in Cairns.  It was my first showing of works to the public since moving back to my home town of Cairns and I was really looking forward to sharing them.  McWilliams wines were wonderful providing a special wine tasting for our guests with complimenting cheese platters.  There was a great vibe with guests browsing the show room, chatting and listening to music.  Thanks to all my supporters.

A fun night of fashion was held at Shangri-La at the Pier in Cairns, with the talented team at Tokunai Hair and Chris Baker teaming together to put on a professional and colourful show.  I met Lara Bingle and gave her a pair of my Tangella leggings, she was really grateful and said to keep an eye out for them in the next magazine… 😉 Tangella spotted on Bondi perhaps??!

When I was asked to be part of this event, along side my favourite fashion designer ‘Camilla’, I was over the moon to say the least.  A high end afternoon of fashion, fun, art and fundraising at the Brisbane Casino made for an unforgettable event.  My painting raised over $1000, I don’t know who was more excited…the lady who bought it or me?!

One of my most memorable solo exhibitions was in a hair dressing salon of all places, the turn out of people was fantastic, it was shoulder to shoulder.  My wonderful family were there to support me as always as well as many friends and lots of new faces.  It was an interesting time in my life, building a new home, breaking up, in a car accident, losing my job in the GFC…    My paintings represented all of these things, to say there was a broad range of work on display would be putting it mildly.
